Remembered, never Forgotten!

My Grandpa in Michigan, passed away on January 10, 2013. After a long hard fight with sickness, COPD, diabetes, and a long list of other complications he is no longer suffering or hurting any longer. I am deeply sadden by the fact that he has passed away and most certainly for my Mom. I am also rejoicing by the fact that he can breathe, without a tube in his nose, he can walk, without hip pain and limps, and he is healed! What amazes me of all is he is with our Heavenly Father, and with his parents and siblings that passed before him. He is no longer sick and he is dancing with the angels. We left out as soon as possible, very early Friday morning and drove all night, it was comforting to be with all of the family during this sad time in all our lives.  My cousin put together a beautiful slide show of his life, very touching. I will always remember the Grandpa he was to me and the Great Grandpa he was to my babies.

While we were in Michigan we drove to where he will be buried about 2 hours North of where he lived. He will be placed in between his parents. We also took flowers and placed them on the graves, this would be my Great Grandparent's.
He will be buried in Muir, Michigan. A very little country town, we also drove by his old home places.

Grandpa will be greatly missed! Although he is gone, I think of him all the time and will keep his memory alive through pictures and stories for my children. Never will I forget his thumb trick, always fell for it and I can vision him doing it over and over in my head. My children may not remember Grandpa doing it but he got to show them, Tucker was most into it. He tried and tried to pull his thumb off but nobody can do it like Grandpa could!
