Welcoming Analyn

On Monday, December 20, 2010 at 7:13 a.m. we welcomed this little one to our family. She is such a precious little girl, everything we could of prayed and hope for. It all started about late Sunday night around 10:30 p.m. and we finally decided around 2:15 a.m. we would go to the hospital and sure enough it was time. She was ready and so was mommy. There for a while we thought we were going to be sent home but after a little while the nurse decided it was for sure labor and I was progressing,  it was time to call the doctor. We were very excited. It was 5:50 a.m. and the nurse came in with her hands full of stuff to prep for surgery, started handing Keith his clothes to put on and started getting me ready. I asked her "When are we having this baby" she responded 6:10 a.m., I said "let's do it". The doctor on call wanted us to be ready to go at 6:10 a.m., knowing we were having our baby, we were ecstatic. Keith immediately got on the phone and started calling our closest family. We had a little delay, waiting on the anesthesiologist. So things didn't go exactly as planned but we could not go any further without him. After he came in and done what he needed to do it was surgery time. It all went very well, as hoped for.
 Analyn 8lbs. 9 oz., 21 1/2 inches long
She is our precious little girl. She had to go to the NICU shortly after delivery because her blood sugar was too low and after they fed her a bottle it did not go up. So while in the NICU they done several test and her white blood cells were extremely high, which means she was fighting infection. To make a very long story short, sometimes babies can be stressed and this makes there bodies act in different ways. Every single  test they ran come back normal, so what there determination is, is that sometimes you just don't know why. She is perfectly healthy and we got to bring her home on Christmas Day. The best present we got!  Please keep us in your prayers for we have had a very, very stressful past week. Tomorrow, she will be a week old and is doing very well. God is Good.
