Weekend Review

We had a great weekend, just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather. On Saturday we went to a local craft fair and it was amazing. There was so many vendors and such a wide variety of things to be bought.  That same evening we went to a relatives birthday party and then headed off to the weekend ritual, Kroger. I don't know about you, but every time I go to the grocery store no matter how much I get or what little I put in the cart it is always at least $100.00. I think to my self, how did that happen, I didn't hardly get anything. I guess that is just the way it goes :) Sunday, we just spent the evening at home, basically stayed in our pj's all day, those are my favorite days just relaxing with my wonderful family. On the other note, my mom is in Michigan right now helping her sister's with their dad (Grandpa to Ashton and I). He has been in and out of the hospital a lot this year and the last time he went in they told the family that he didn't need to be alone anymore. Currently, my mom's oldest sister, Debbie takes care of Grandpa and does a wonderful job, I don't know how she manages to do everything she does, and to do it so well. Working a full time job, taking care of her own family and Grandpa along with other daily things that have to be done. Aunt Debbie, thanks for doing all you do, we all appreciate you. So, mom went up there to see if she could lend a hand and help for a short time. He was doing really good but today I got a text and he was a little weak and not feeling so well. Hopefully, he will get back on his feet and things will get sunnier on their end.
As you can see this is from a long time ago, this is when Ashton made his first vacation to Michigan. This was the second time Grandpa had seen Ashton, he was 4 months old.
Ashton's second vacation to Michigan, he was a year old when this picture was taken.
Ashton's most recent vacation to Michigan, picture taken just a few months ago. Ashton has only seen Grandpa four times in his life. Grandpa we love you with all of our hearts and hope you get well soon. No matter how far apart we are, you are always with us in our hearts!

*Please pray for my Grandfather, my mom and her sister's as the Lord will lead them through this. I believe, He will not give us more than we can handle, although sometimes it seems like the end of the world.
