Birthday & A Little More

This past Sunday was my Birthday, I turned the big 25! For my birthday we just stayed at home and celebrated. My hubby had an out-patient surgery on Friday, which required him laying on his back only for 48 hrs. He could only go to the restroom and kitchen then it was back to the couch or bed. With that being said we just stayed at home and took it easy. His parents came over for a visit and so did my parents later that evening. I had planned on making dinner for my parents that evening and thought I would cook for Keith's parents as well so I just made double. I decided we would have roast with potatoes and carrots along with bread. It turned out beautifully.
I thought this roast inparticular looked like a heart, I thought this looks so pretty, I have to take a picture. So I did. It tasted as good as it looked, if I might add. My Dad brought me the flowers, you see above and they smelled great, I love fresh flowers. What woman doesn't, the only problem is we don't get them enough, lol. I have them sitting on my dinning room table and they are so pretty. Thanks Dad. We all had a nice time just being with each other, that is what it is all about.
Does this look familiar to anyone with toddlers? This is what my 2 year old ordered for breakfast the other morning... although it was after 9:00 a.m., me , personally it was still a little early for hotdog, macaroni and corn, don't forget the ketchup. He insisted and if he is in the mood to eat, let's go for it. I have a very picky eater on my hands. I believe the best thing he eats it corn and yogurt (but its go-gurt to him). He loves brown sugar and cinnamon poptarts, macaroni, fruit snacks, milk, hot dog, corn, certain breads, princess soup (chicken noodle with princess picture on the can, please don't tell him its the same as chicken noodle),corn dogs, Mac Donald's (only chicken nugget meal), V8 (blueberry pomegranate, please don't say V8, we call it Happy Juice), fries/tater tots and corn dogs. I believe that is all, maybe a few things I'm missing but that is about it. Any suggestions on how to sneak healthy foods in or tricks you have to get a picky eater to try new foods. I try all the time.
Look at my beautiful niece, she spent the night with us last night and is spending the night tonight as well. We love having her over, Ashton does especially. They play together so well, sometimes you would think they were brother and sister. I am so glad they are so close in age. She was all dolled up yesterday so I decided to take some pictures.
She holds such a precious place in my heart and is growing so fast. I love her to pieces, she is such a good little girl.
My Granny & Pa are celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow and we are having a celebration for them on Saturday. My mom checked out a local bakery for homemade mints and they were very pricey for as many as she wanted, so Cadence and I decided we would try to make some and they turned out great. They were so good, so needless to say I will be making more for Saturday. The recipe was very easy to follow and it was quick and easy.
This is my Pa, he is so dear to me. This is one of my favorite pictures of all time. This was my wedding day, right after we come out of the wedding chapel.
My Granny is just as special, she has been a wonderful example of the woman I want to be. I lover her dearly and treasure each and every moment I have with my grandparents. Congratulations Granny & Pa!

  1. Your grandparents are so cute! Love the pictures you have with them. And I think we all have some picky eaters on our hands. :) Sometimes Tuff has pizza for breakfast. But hey, as long as he eats, right? Hahaha. Oh and I found some info on a Day School at the Wdbry Church of Christ... I think this one is different than the one you told me about. I mean't to text you. Check out the info on www.woodburychurchofchrist.org.
