Pre- K Graduation

Ashton had his Pre-K graduation from Day School. He had been rehearsing his lines and knew them by heart but when the time came, he froze. His explanation at the end of the program when I asked him what happen, "Stage Fright", I couldn't help but laugh. He done so good and I have to add he was his class clown during the program.
Thanks to a good friend's, Grandparents the WDS Class of 2013, rode to Pre-K Graduation in a LIMO..
It took them through town and dropped them off at the front entrance of the church.

A Surprise for the Kids....

My Aunt Debbie & Uncle Jim (Papa) came in from Michigan during May to surprise the kids. Ashton & Cadence thought they were coming in June and were so surprised when they saw them. We had such a wonderful time visiting with them, lots of late night's and early morning's. We always have something we want to do and there seems as if there is never enough time.
When they were fixing to pull in the drive, we covered Ashton's eye's and made him guess who was here.... he peeked and saw Papa.
He was thrilled ! Cadence and Mom were still at school so as soon as they got out we headed to the farm.
We enjoyed Easter service with them and then a nice Mexican lunch at the house.
We went and visited my Great Aunt Ruth and family, she cooked a delicious lunch for us all.
Mom & Cadence missed school and made a trip to the Zoo with us.

 Watched several movies with Papa.

My Aunt & I made a trip to Opry Mills and enjoyed a girl's day with Analyn. We had so much fun while they were here and as always cried like babies when they left. We always cry, no matter how many times we go there or if they come here it never gets easier to say good-bye. We love them so much!

Catch - Up

Life here lately has seem so BUSY..., guess that is for the lack in blogging. I am on the Hubby's computer and his has none of my pictures, so with that being said this will be a picture-less post. We have been super busy with a list of the following:

  • Ashton Registering for Kindergarten, I am still in a little sad Mommy mode over this one. I can't believe my first born is going to school, 5 days a week. Oh, how the time flies.
  • Ashton graduating from Pre-K, with a ride in a Limo to his school. More to come on that.
  • Family coming in from Michigan, we had an awesome week with them.
  • My hometown's annual "Good Ole Days", where my niece got in the top 10 out of 31 contestants running for "Little Miss Good Ole Days" and my nephew got 2nd Runner Up in "Little Pee Wee Mister".
  • Cadence Graduating from Kindergarten, she done so well in her performance.
There has been much more going on besides the few highlights above, just enjoying our day to day. To me, even when I have nothing planned for the day something always comes up. Does that ever happen to you?

More to come on the Highlights above, please remember to keep Oklahoma in your prayers. I can't imagine what and how their hearts are hurting. Tornadoes are so strong a powerful, I have never been scared of the weather per say, but now I have a total different outlook. Praying for all those involved.

Zoo Day with Easton!

Well, we had our first Zoo day of the year a few weeks ago when our sweet little friend Easton came to visit from South Carolina. His Mommy and I went to school together, all the way from elementary through high school and still keep in contact through-out the years. She is a sweet friend and a wonderful mother and I'm so glad we have kept in touch and we are both Mommy's at the same time. Our children are also close in age, Ashton & Analyn just loves it when they know we are going to see Easton!  Ashton didn't get to go with us but my niece Cadence did and we all had fun. No. 1 on the list was Easton's favorite: the ELEPHANTS! He is all about the elephants and I think he could of watched them all day long, it was precious.
Looking at the Elephants, they seem like such tiny little tots looking over the fence!
We walked all over the zoo and rode on the train, the kids always love to ride it.

Easton, was so sweet he would look over the edge and just smile. Ana & I was in the car behind him.

This was their favorite part I think, the petting zoo. They loved brushing the goats and petting them.
After we left the Zoo we drove over to out big mall to eat at the Rain Forest Cafe, the kids loved it. We even got to sit by the elephants which we all loved but Easton was just amazed and thought it was the coolest thing. It was pretty neat and we can't wait to see them again! Easton is the sweetest little thing and I could listen to him talk all day long, he has the softest, sweetest little voice and can just carry on a conversation about anything. Analyn may have a growled at him a few times and he just looked at her like what are you doing, it was so funny. Praying they can move closer so play dates will be all throughout the year!

The Dreaded.......

PINK EYE, that is. Well, it all started a few weeks ago. Cadence, then Tucker, moved on to Chesney and the it hit Brother and I on the same day. I woke up mad, I'm not going to lie, I had never had it and am a very clean person. You can look at my hands and just tell I wash constantly or hand sanitize as everyone teases me. Well, I went to the Dr. got some drops, followed instructions and prayed my babies wouldn't get it. I kept telling the kids, "don't touch my face", "wash your hands", I would spray Lysol constantly. Then a week later...... Ashton woke up and said " Mom do I have PINK EYE"? I rolled over in a panic and it was there. Bless him, he has been so good about not touching his face, rubbing his eye or itching. I am praying so hard this is the end of the PINK EYE rage in our family. His eye looks completely back to normal, no more green stuff in the morning and not really pink at all, Praise God! That is some nasty stuff, I think I believe the ole' wives tale, you look at somebody who has and you get it!

Ashton's 5th Birthday Party

Ashton wanted a skating party and that's what he got! He recently discovered how much he loved skating since Gee and I took him and he was so excited about having a skating party. They had this big screen with Happy Birthday Ashton on it as soon as we walked in.
We had pizza, cupcakes, cake and drinks. Everyone worked up a good appetite from skating!
Gee made his cake just the way he ordered. White on White, orange "Happy Birtdhay", Ashton in blue and hot wheels. Ashton is really into Hot Wheels, right now.

We had such a fun time skating, Ashton had about 40 guest at his party. Most importantly nobody got hurt!
My Little Man
 Ashton,

I can't believe you are 5 years old! Time has just flown by, it stands still for none. I love you so much, infinity and beyond, 2,000. You say that to me all the time, you are the sweetest little boy, with a HUGE heart. You are always looking out for others and you adore your little sister. She looks up to you and tries to do anything and everything you do. I am so thankful for the relationship and bond you two share. You have the biggest smile and deepest dimples that I just want to fall into. You are mannerly, polite and are always holding the door for the ladies. You are smart and have accomplished in memorizing the Pledge of Allegiance and our address. Before every meal you are always ready to say our prayer, you are learning about Jesus and you love church.  I am so proud of YOU! I am so blessed to be your Mama and I love you so much!

I feel for YOU.....

Are the words I heard from a complete stranger as I am impatiently waiting upon checkout, at our local consignment sale! I have never volunteered before but have always been a consignor. I love consignment sales! So, in order to shop even earlier than the consignors you can volunteer your time, make an extra 10% on your sales, receive a $10.00 gift card but most importantly shop before every one else. So, I volunteered.  I get at the sale to shop early, knowing Ana is tired but she has a full belly, we have our games, phone and her pen and writing tablet (she loves to write), so we should be okay. I remember from taking the children previously that it can be extremely stressful, but since she is usually so good we should be okay. I jokingly say to the ladies in front of me that she is tired so hopefully (actually praying) she would fall asleep by me pushing her in the stroller so I could take my time and shop. Well, 5 minutes in, okay maybe like as soon as I start looking, she starts crying. I came in prepared, gave her every toy we brought in, nothing is working. Imagine a room full of other Moms (about 40) and Me with a screaming 2 year old. Not just your average crying, screaming! She was so mad and so upset because she is being made to sit in her stroller, that she is throwing a huge fit. I try and try to console her but nothing works, NOTHING!!!!! I finally give in about 45 minutes later, paid and left. While I was looking other shoppers were like,  it's okay, we have all been through this, bless her and so on. Then the final words, I FEEL FOR YOU, while I am standing in the check-out line. At this point I am sweating and just praying " Please God get me out of here as fast as you can". So, we get to the car and not even a 1/2 mile down the road she is out like a light. I wrote this post to remember this day, so I can tell her about it down the road, but after all the frustration her and I both went through everyone has bad days. This just so happen to be one for her and I, it all boiled down to her being made to sit in the stroller, strapped in and not being able to run around wild. I felt as if some people probably thought why didn't I leave sooner than what I did, but where I am getting to is that I am the parent and there was nothing wrong with me making her sit in a stroller. She had toys and things to keep her occupied, she was perfectly fine.Today was just a little test for the both of us and I know we are not always going to see eye to eye! Mama, loves you sweet girl!
